Psychotherapy Rooms, London SW18

Designed to be welcoming. To feel like your own home and put you at ease.

We took inspiration from the work of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Famous for his use of abstract geometric forms and curves in the 1950’s and 60’s.

Combining his use of shapes with the rich woods and plants found in costal South America. We created an interior that’s modern, inviting and makes you feel instantly relaxed.

'Exceptional work that I could never have done without you. The project was a challenge at times but the whole building works beautifully.

The way you managed to find things that I wouldn’t have imagined choosing for myself, that I now love (the rugs for example - perfect) was very impressive. I feel fully at home and enjoy working here immensely.

You achieved far more than I expected would be possible. I wish I’d employed you earlier in the process.

Just to say, well done and thank you.'

the story . . .

Walnut wood and lush foliage give you a warm feeling. Sage grey walls create an oasis of calm. Matte black metal creates an overall structure, making the rooms feel unified. Ambient light comes from glowing wall lamps. The circular marble base reflects the geometric theme.

Each room has a distinct personality, with muted accent colours. Ochre, mustard, petrol and apricot. Abstract shapes are introduced through the artwork and rugs.

A metal table sits between therapist and client. The ceramic lamp gives a warm glow. A diffuse light that’s easy on your eyes.

A compact walnut desk and grey wool chair provide a simple workspace.
